La Dolce Vita - Lemont, Illinois

La Dolce Vita - Lemont

La Dolce Vita

Lemont

107 Stephen Street

630.257.9111

This Lemont restaurant doles out sweetness. In 1960, Federico Fellini directed a movie titled, La Dolce Vita. Although the cinematic interpretation has a sensual connotation, the dining establishment delivers the meaning to epicureans with a mélange of traditional Italian fare, such as linguine de mare, chicken parmigiana and  fried calamari to name a few. As for consistency, this restaurant produces on a regular basis.

Just 33-minutes out of the city limits or 19 miles south of downtown Chicago, La Dolce Vita is an attraction for locals and urbanites in quest of delectable fare without the pretense.

On the west side of the restaurant, a 12-foot bar is fully stocked with vintages, premium labels and other spirits. In the dining area, a backdrop of French poster art offsets a contemporary dining space of tables dressed in white cloths. Service tends to falter.
