Dramatic elegance and preparations of market fresh cuisine characterize this Chicago restaurant. Named after its alternate address, (160 North Loomis), one sixtyblue is owned by one of Chicago’s most famous former NBA stars, Michael Jordan. The menu is a mélange of chef Michael McDonald’s palate-pleasing creations. For some regulars, the duck breast soaked in a tangy, Thai barbecue sauce, shrimp dumplings dunked in a dashi broth and the Berkshire pork chop served alongside velvety spaetzle crisped on the edges are the elements of their addiction to one sixtyblue. Nevertheless, for patrons unfamiliar with the culture of this establishment, high prices and skittish service tend to detract from the experience.
