L2O is a modern construal of today’s seafood dining establishment. Stationed in Lincoln Park, an mélange of distinctive dining spaces appoints any dinner party’s attendees and menu preferences to an exacting seating accommodation.
In the Tatami Room, guests relinquish their shoes to gather, celebrate and feast Japanese style (floor level), atop a sunken wooden table. There’s also the Tree Room, suited for groups of 10 or more, as well the Lake & Shore rooms.
Menus range from a four-course prix fixe, an opulent ten course tasting to the twelve course seasonal tasting menu. Each menu touts its own interpretation of Japanese and French innovations, with seafood importation spanning: Australia, New Zealand and Japan to name a few.
Whether the occasion calls for a modicum of privacy or a group celebration, L20 is attractive for its slew of dining options. On the prix fixe menu, raw selections such as the Peekytoe crab and tuna with hibiscus are palate-pleasing beginnings. Then continue with: the deconstructed, green curried, Thai snapper or the short rib.
Touting absolute approachability, the wine list encompasses a global roster. Based on the consensus, L20 presents the best seafood in Lincoln Park; however, service and hospitality are sometimes incongruent with the prices. As dining at L20 is the feature attraction, expect the festivities to consume three to five hours.
